In the spirit of Halloween, we dressed up our cosy campground and turned it into a freaky underworld on 29th October for our inaugural Monster Bash Party at Camp Kilo. With a selection of activities lined up, and, of course, hearty BBQ dishes for all our campers to dig into, we got the fire started and the evening kicked off.

Before the programme started, guests who arrived early could choose to get their faces painted, in the style of whichever haunting character they desired. While our very own event manager for Camp Kilo, Nadia, came dressed as a giant ketupat (rice packed in woven leaves) with a gigantic satay in hand, we also saw guests come in their most eccentric outfits, showing off their creative sides. We had a group of Jedi masters, Frida Kahlo(s), and a pirate or two—all in the hopes of clenching the cash prize of $500 that would go to the best dressed individual or group for the night.

While the fight was a tough one among our shortlisted candidates, the couple who came in their creative representation of King Kong and the Empire State Building took the crown for the night.
As the evening went on, the fun at Camp Kilo doubled with hair-raising games such as Tombstone Toss, Fear Pong, and more. There were good vibes all around (as always) as everyone danced to spine-chilling beats by the Fat Fish boys, and feasted on endless platters of roast meats. Thank you for celebrating with us, and for being such great sports. We’ll see you at the next one!
