As the last chapter of the year comes to an end, we take a look back at how we kickstarted the season of festivities with a very special Thanksgiving edition for our beloved Camp Kido. While we may not be blessed with falling autumn leaves or be treated to an extravagant parade, the spirit of the joyous holiday could be felt in the loving company of our young campers, friends and families. After all, happiness is homemade.

It was a Sunday afternoon filled with discovery and exploration as kids and adults alike were immersed in the line up of activities that were specially curated in celebration of the festive occasion. This time, we were joined by our lovely friends from The Common Bench, giving our young campers the opportunity to express their creativity through their own crafted Christmas clay ornaments and handmade stamps.

Kids also got their hands dirty with some fun with paint at our “Tie Dye Fun” and “Paper Plate Turkeys” stations. The creations by our young campers were later displayed all over camp and helped add a touch of joyful spirit to our space.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we reimagined our classic corn hole toss and introduced the “Feed the Turkey” game station that got everyone bursting into endless laughter while they engaged in a little friendly competition amongst themselves. To top it all off, the day saw the return of some of our old favourites such as The Blanket Fort—a cosy spot where absolutely anyone could escape into their own imagination, hidden under the patchwork-ed shelter.

Besides all the fun and adventure, kids were also treated to tasty delights with a special Camp Kido menu as they wound down after a long day. The grown-ups were also kept entertained by platters of delicious roasts and plenty of booze, making an enjoyable Sunday for all.
It’s definitely a time to give thanks and reflect on our blessings, and our team at #CampKilo would like to thank everyone for bringing the good vibes and positive energy to our camp every single weekend. We can’t wait to share more unforgettable moments with you at camp; we’ll see you at the next one!
