Details
The Jam Parlour & Kilo Lounge are delighted to welcome Sunsiar谷 & Miya, half of the Hong Kong-based collective Fragrant Harbour (FGHB) soundsystem.
FGHB is a collective of four french DJs who has launched his eponym label in early 2014 along with the sub-label ※Homesick§.
Since then, the team have been working closely with artists in Asia and Europe such as Borrowed Identity, Marquis Hawkes, General Ludd, Renart and Fulbert to release acclaimed and actively sought after records. FGHB is also the brain behind the recently opened Savage club in Hanoi and the forthcoming Equation festival in Vietnam which will see a fantastic line up.
Sunsiar谷 and Miya will be sharing the decks with JB, The Jam Parlour’s host, who will be dishing out his slick and eclectic selection of records.
SUNSIARE (FR)
Key member of the FGHB Soundystem and Savage Club co-founder, Sunsiar谷 is a Hong Kong based french DJ / Producer, behind the development of the Fragrant Harbour label and its sub-label ※Homesick§.
As a passionate and versatile artist, Sunsiar谷 isn*t restrained by a single genre of music and endlessly tries to gather all his influences into a recognisable musical identity.
MIYA (FR)
Mother of Clich谷 Asia and Savage Club co-founder, Miya is probably the most memorable member of the FGHB team. Her music selection is a true reflection of her radiating positive energy. Miya just doesn*t play a genre of music but simply pick up the right tracks that will bring her audience exactly where she intends them to go along her journey.
JB (FR)
It wouldn*t be an easy task to put a sticker on JB*s musical style and that*s probably a good thing. When he considers DJing, JB thinks of eclecticism and endeavors to open up musical boundaries to embark the crowd on a new journey.
JB has been DJing for 12 years and has held the decks in Paris, London, Alicante and countless spots across Asia. In Singapore for over 10 years, he has humbly contributed to grow the local scene by founding The Jam Parlour series with guests such as Pablo Valentino and Cinthie and co坼founding the Doomph! gig with partners in crime Brendon P, Matty Wainwright and Stephen Day.
THE JAM PARLOUR
From its humble beginnings back in 2011, The Jam Parlour series has grown steadily to become 5 years later a respected night that won its credentials from the community. Privileging quality over quantity, the philosophy has always been to work with the right people and the right venue but also to never compromise on the music, even if that meant having some hiatus at some point. Since 2015, The Jam Parlour has called Kilo Lounge home and continuing the experience at their new location was just a natural move.
The Jam Parlour began with a simple idea really: give more exposure to underground DJs/collectives whether they be local or from overseas. Our little island holds many underrated gems but unfortunately with a bare chance to play, so Jam Parlour is here to offer those guys some airtime. As defined by JB, The Jam Parlour experience is all about adopting an open-minded attitude, discovering some new talents, supporting the confirmed ones, exploring real underground musical genres walking away from the beaten paths and immersing one-self into inspirational musical journeys.
Overseas, The Jam Parlour didn’t go unnoticed either and the night was hosted a few times at prestigious underground clubs such as Oma in HK, Korner in Taipei or Savage in Hanoi.
