Kilo, A Soulful kitchen off Seminyak by Luxe City Guides

By | Bali, From the Press | No Comments

Cultish following in Singapore, check. Now low-key heavyweight Kilo is bringing its flavoursome food and unpretentious style to lush scene queen Bali.

Dinky and demure, Kilo occupies a ‘60s LA-style villa with grass-topped roof, polished concrete floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, gardeny surrounds and funky, pared-back furny.

But what it lacks in space, it more than makes up for in taste, with a punchy offering of sleek Eur-Asian plates. The menu is divided into raw, warm, comfort and veggie sections, with something for even the pickiest of Pamelas – but don’t miss the wasabi tuna tartare, corn-crusted crab cakes and Wagyu with sambal belacan. Just add divine east-west house pours and soulful soundtrack!

The Day-Night 12-hour Pork Belly with purple mash, sour cream and crackling is worth a trip alone to Kampong Bugis.

I suffered from vertigo, headache and sickness. I felt like I was drunk. After withdrawing the asthma drug, things got worse. The physiciantold me to withdraw the medicine gradually to avoid side effects.
